Nasa Set To Launch 8 Scientific Ballons from Mexico

Nasa, the space research centre is on a new mission to fly Scientific Ballons from Fort Sumner, New Mexico and they are announced the program name as Scientific Balloon Program. This program is mainly focused on the study of astro space.

As part of it Nasa will conduct annual fall balloon campaign there. From mid August to mid October Nasa will launch 8 Scientific balloons carrying scientific experiments and technology demonstrations. The flights also will support 16 missions which including investigations in the fields varying astrophysics, heliophysics, and atmospheric research.

Andrew Hamilton the acting chief of Nasa Ballon programs said” the Fort Sumner Campaign will be the cornerstone of Nasa balloon operations. Not only just launching a large number of missions but these flights set the foundation to follow missions from our long duration launch facilities in Antarica, Newzealand and Sweden.

The Fort Sumner Campaign must have a strong focus for our students and will get an excellent training opportunity for our up and coming scientists and engineers. Excite features on astronomical telescope to study the atmospheric properties of Jupiter type exo planets from near space . The Excite launch was delayed during the period of 2023 due to bad weather.

“The whole excite team is more looking forward to our upcoming field campaign and launch opportunity from Fort Sumner said Nagler Principal investigator”. Zero pressure balloons will be used in this campaign with thermal equilibrium in their surroundings as they ready to go for a fly.
